Issues with the RSS feed have been resolved.

We had some issues with our RSS feed last month, but everything has been resolved. If you are subscribed to the feed you should change your feed subscription to the the following url: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Podcasts-OpticBlast

If you listen to the show on the website that is awesome, but subscribing to the feed will make sure you never miss a show, and it helps us out a lot.

On another note, I would really like to do some sort of "Holiday Special" podcast, and I'm looking for ideas. I'm looking for any ideas that might be fun, different, interesting, etc. If you have any suggestions please email OpticBlast.Podcast@gmail.com

-Cheers!

Optic Media is looking for Podcasters, Comics Creators, and other Creative Types

opticclock-CROP.jpg

I started Optic Media as a company to focus my creative efforts, but I always wanted to use the company to deliver content from other people as well. While I’m not plotting world domination just yet, I would like to see Optic Media grow beyond myself. Ideally, Optic-Media.com would function as sort of a hub for Web Comics, Podcasts, Articles, and other features. The idea being that everyone’s content helps to promote other features on the site. For example, visitors to the website might come for a particular podcast, but stay for the web comics.

Any content you provide would still be your property. Optic Media would claim no ownership of your creation. What I am providing is a place to publish your content, and hopefully gather a community of creative people.  To be frank, I am currently paying for unlimited storage for the website, and while I have plans for more content in 2014, I feel like I am not taking full advantage of the website.

I want 2014 to be an eventful year for Optic Media, and I hope that taking this step to work with others will lead to rewarding relationships, and a strong creative community of motivated individuals.

What I am looking for is more interesting content for the website. I am mainly interested in Web Comics, Podcasts, and Articles focusing on Comics and Comics craft. I am of course, open to any ideas. If you have an idea, please email samples or descriptions to OpticMediaContact@gmail.com

For more details, or answers to any questions you may have, please email me at the address above.

-Cheers!

PodCast News!

2 is a company, 3 is a better company!

We have some exciting PodCast news. We didn't get a lot of feedback from our first episode, but there were some people who felt it was just damn long. So we are breaking up the podcast into 3 different podcasts.

“Optic Blast!” will still be the main attraction in which we discus news, reviews, play games and other nonsense.

“The Chronicle of SAGA!” will be a podcast all about Saga by the lovely Brian K. Vaughn and the lovelier Fiona Staples.

And finally…

“Optic Blast! Book Club” that’s the show where we have in-depth discussions about Graphic Novels and Collected editions, perfect for casual fans and new readers.

To clarify  instead of one 2 hour PodCasts, you will get 3 PodCasts spread out through the month. Optic Blast!  will come out the 2nd Friday of the month, The Chronicle of Saga will come out the 3rd Friday of the month, and the Optic Blast Book Club will drop on the 4th Friday of the month. Get it? Got it? ...GOOD!

Optic Media 1.0 - Beta

Release the hounds! Looks like the Optic Media site has been set free onto the World Wide Web, but for the time being this site is considered "under construction". We have some big plans for Optic Media, so please check back frequently for News, Galleries, Podcasts, Gear, and hopefully some damn fine comics. Until then, relax, make yourself at home. Check out the "About" page for more information about Optic Media, and please feel free to contact us with any questions, comments, or concerns.

-Cheers!
